Meeting Point = kunanyi / Mt Wellington Pinnacle Lookout

Located at the summit of Kunanyi / Mount Wellington (1271m), the Pinnacle lookouts and observation decks provide vistas over Hobart, towards the east and south coast, and to the west over the World Heritage Area of south-western Tasmania. Parking and toilet facilities available. Be sure to pack warm, appropriate clothing as the summit can experience rapidly changing and extreme weather. The summit of Kunanyi / Mount Wellington is a 30min drive (21km) west of Hobart’s CBD.

Cancellation Policy

Chasing the Best Conditions – Astrophotography is all about timing and Tasmania’s weather loves to keep things interesting. That’s why our Astrophotography workshops are run based on conditions, ensuring you’re out there when the sky is at its very best.

To ensure customer satisfaction, a 24 hr cancellation policy with a full refund applies to tours cancelled, by us, due to bad weather or conditions. This tour requiring clear skies for a premium experience, if the organiser deems that the weather and or conditions are not suitable and will detract from the customer experience, or safety, we have a 24hr cancellation policy.

If the tour is cancelled by us, you will receive a full refund.
If the tour is cancelled by you, no refund is provided.

*Viewing the Aurora Australis can not be guaranteed or expected, we can only cross our fingers. But if it does, you will be in the right place, with the right people to capture it.
