Tasmanian Photography Tours

Welcome to Tasmanian Photography Tours. By booking or participating in our tours or workshops, you agree to the terms and conditions outlined below. These terms govern your relationship with Tasmanian Photography Tours and ensure a clear understanding of both parties’ rights and responsibilities.

1. Definitions

“We,” “Us,” “Our”: Refers to Tasmanian Photography Tours.

“You,” “Your”: Refers to the participant, client, or customer.

“Tour”: Refers to any photographic tour, workshop, or activity provided by Tasmanian Photography Tours.

“Workshop”: Refers to any photographic tour, workshop, or activity provided by Tasmanian Photography Tours.

2. Booking and Payment Terms

2.1 Booking Process

A booking is confirmed once we receive your deposit and provide written confirmation.

By making a booking, you acknowledge and agree to these Terms and Conditions.

2.2 Payment Options

We accept the following payment methods:

Credit Card: Visa and MasterCard payments incur a 2.5% surcharge

Direct Bank Deposit: Banking details will be provided upon request.

PayPal: Secure online payment option.

2.3 Payment Deadlines

TOURS

Deposit: A non-refundable 25% deposit of the total tour cost is required at the time of booking to secure your place.

Final Payment:: The balance is due 4 weeks (28 days) prior to the tour start date.

WORKSHOPS – Single Day

Deposit: A non-refundable 25% deposit of the total workshop cost is required at the time of booking to secure your place.

Final Payment: The balance is due 2 weeks (14 days) prior to the workshop start date.

WORKSHOPS – Multi Day

Deposit: A non-refundable 25% deposit of the total workshop cost is required at the time of booking to secure your place.

Final Payment: The balance is due 4 weeks (28 days) prior to the workshop start date.

Failure to meet payment deadlines may result in the cancellation of your booking.

3. Cancellation Policy

3.1 By Tasmanian Photography Tours

If we cancel or significantly alter a tour or workshop, you are entitled to a full refund or the option to transfer your booking to an alternative tour/workshop.

No further liability will be assumed for additional expenses, such as travel arrangements, accommodations, or other costs incurred.

3.2 By You

Tours:

60 days or more before the tour start date: Full refund of payments made.

30–59 days before the tour start date: 25% of the total tour cost is retained as a cancellation fee.

Less than 30 days before the tour start date: No refund.

Workshops:

7 days or more before the workshop start date: Full refund minus the non refundable booking fee.

Less than 7 days before the workshop start date: 50% plus the non refundable booking fee of the workshop cost is retained as a cancellation fee.

4. COVID-19 Policy

Full refunds are provided if cancellations occur due to government-imposed border closures or restrictions.

No refunds are given for cancellations due to personal doubts, hesitations, or change of mind.

If cancellation is due to illness, a valid medical certificate is required for a refund.

5. Insurance Requirements

We strongly recommend obtaining the following insurance policies:

Travel Insurance: Covers cancellations, interruptions, or unforeseen delays.

Health Insurance: Covers medical emergencies during the tour.

Equipment Insurance: Protects your photography gear from damage, loss, or theft.

Tasmanian Photography Tours is not responsible for any costs or losses that insurance could cover.

6. Health, Safety, and Fitness

Our tours and workshops may involve physical activities, including hiking or walking in remote areas. It is your responsibility to ensure you are physically capable of participating.

Notify us in advance of any medical conditions, dietary restrictions, or special requirements.

Participants must wear appropriate clothing and footwear suitable for wilderness environments.

We reserve the right to refuse participation if we deem it unsafe or unsuitable.

7. Liability

Participation is at your own risk.

Tasmanian Photography Tours is not liable for:

Loss, damage, or theft of personal belongings, including photography equipment.

Injuries, illnesses, or accidents during the tour or workshop.

Delays or cancellations caused by weather, natural disasters, or other external factors.

By booking with us, you accept these risks and agree to hold Tasmanian Photography Tours harmless from any liability.

8. Weather and Itinerary Changes

Tours and workshops are subject to weather conditions, which can be unpredictable. We reserve the right to alter itineraries for safety reasons.

Substitutions or rescheduling may occur without prior notice.

Refunds will not be issued for itinerary changes caused by weather or other factors beyond our control.

9. Photography Equipment

You are responsible for the safekeeping of your photography equipment.

Tasmanian Photography Tours is not liable for loss, theft, or damage to personal equipment.

Participants should ensure their equipment is adequately insured.

10. Group Sizes and Conduct

Group sizes are limited to maintain the quality of the experience.

Group sizes have a minimum requirement and as such Tasmanain Photography Tours reserves the right to cancel any tour or workshop where the minimum numbers have not been met.

Participants are expected to conduct themselves responsibly. Tasmanian Photography Tours reserves the right to remove anyone whose behavior is disruptive or unsafe.

11. Minors

Participants must be 18 years of age to participate in any tours or workshops.

12. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Tasmania, Australia. Any disputes arising under these terms will be resolved exclusively in Tasmanian courts.

13. Privacy Policy

Your personal information is used solely for booking and operational purposes. We will not share your information with third parties except as required to facilitate your tour or workshop.
