Experience the Best of Bruny

Book Now

Experience the raw, dramatic beauty of Bruny Island, where rugged coastlines meet windswept beaches and moss-draped forests. Over three unforgettable days, this immersive photography tour will take you from towering cliffs and moody shores to the golden sands of windswept beaches glowing in shifting light. Each location offers new opportunities to capture the colours, textures and moods that make Bruny Island so remarkable.

Guided by two local photography experts, you’ll chase the light at sunrise and sunset, wander through intimate forest trails, and explore the dynamic interplay of sea, sky, and rock. Highlights include photographing the historic Bruny Island Lighthouse, the sweeping views from The Neck, the wild expanse of Cloudy Bay, and the natural rock arch at Mars Bluff. Along the way, you may encounter Bruny’s famed albino wallabies and will have time to slow down in its lush temperate forests.

As night falls, the adventure continues with astro sessions from our accommodation, offering the chance to capture the Milky Way, star trails, and even the Aurora Australis if conditions are right. With personalised guidance in composition, light and creative technique, this tour is designed for photographers who want to translate Bruny Island’s breathtaking landscapes into images they’ll never forget.

Your Instructors - Ben Wilkinson & Deni Cupit

Between Ben’s knowledge of Tasmania’s wild landscapes and Deni’s sharp eye for detail, participants will be guided by two expert photographers who know how to get the best from a scene and from their clients.

But it’s not all serious tripod time. Deni’s quick wit and sense of humour keep spirits high, while Ben’s down-to-earth style makes learning feel relaxed and approachable.

Together, they create an atmosphere where everyone feels comfortable to ask questions, try new techniques and have a laugh along the way. Whether you’re waiting for the perfect light, chasing a sunset, or staying up late under the stars, time spent with Ben and Deni will be as enjoyable as it is educational.

Your Accommodation - 'The Lodge'

Set amongst 860 acres of pristine bushland in remote South Bruny is The Lodge, a rustic timber chalet on the hill above Oyster Cove on Mickey’s Bay. The Lodge offers a unique experience on Bruny Island; it combines spectacular native bushland with comfortable, well-equipped accommodation

This character-filled timber cottage has five bedrooms and comfortably sleeps 24, with four bathrooms, five toilets and a commercial kitchen. There is a well-appointed bar and games room, with a central cast iron fireplace for winter and the option to roll back the walls to take in the magnificent scenery.

A timber deck is wrapped around the building, there are two barbecues positioned in front of the house and an outdoor fireplace for us to relax and talk all things photography at the end of an amazing day.
