Capture Tasmanian Wilderness In Safety & Comfort

Book Now

Just because it is the wilderness, doesn't mean it isn't accessible.

Tasmanian Photography Tours will safely take you into the heart of Tasmania’s Southwest National Park, a remote and rugged landscape for an unforgettable 4-day photography experience. Your comfort and enjoyment is a priority so we ensure everything from luxury rated transport, premium accommodation and delicious Tasmanian meals are of a high standard.

Based at the renowned Pedder Wilderness Lodge, you’ll be surrounded by rugged mountain ranges, moody skies and the ever-changing light that makes this region so breathtaking in winter. Each day offers new opportunities to capture the drama of pristine lakes, sweeping valleys and ancient forests—an environment where nature still rules.

Guided by Francois Fourie and Ben Wilkinson, you’ll refine your skills in composition, storytelling, and turning fleeting moments of wild beauty into striking photographs. Evenings are spent sharing images, learning new techniques and enjoying hearty Tasmanian meals while the wilderness lies just beyond the windows.

This workshop is more than photography—it’s immersion in one of the last true wilderness frontiers of Australia. Come prepared for adventure and leave with a portfolio of powerful images and memories to match.

Your Instructors

Ben Wilkinson and Francois Fourie have been exploring Tasmania’s wild places for years. The Southwest National Park is one of their favourite areas and they know it’s secrets well.

From hiking through the Western Arthurs range, exploring old forest on the West Coast or remote Tarkine rivers, together they’ve photographed just a few of Tasmania’s wonders!

After so many adventures, they’ve developed an easy flow as a team, making time with them feel more like heading out with a couple of mates for a great day of photography. Between them, there’s always plenty of knowledge, encouragement and laughs along the way.

Ultimately, when you’re with us, you’ll have a lot of fun and go home with great images.
