Tasmanian Photography Tours
Welcome to Tasmanian Photography Tours. By booking or participating in our tours, you agree to the terms and conditions outlined below. These terms govern your relationship with Tasmanian Photography Tours and ensure a clear understanding of both parties’ rights and responsibilities.
1. Definitions
"We", "Us", "Our": Refers to Tasmanian Photography Tours.
"You", "Your": Refers to the participant, client or customer.
"Tour": Refers to any photography tour, workshop or activity provided by Tasmanian Photography Tours.
"Multi-day Tour": Refers to any Tour of two or more days that includes accommodation.
"Workshop": Refers to any Tour completed within a single day, including half day and evening sessions.
2. Booking and Payment Terms
2.1 Booking Process
A booking is confirmed once we receive your deposit and provide written confirmation.
By making a booking, you acknowledge and agree to these Terms and Conditions.
2.2 Payment Options
We accept the following payment methods:
Credit Card
Apple Pay
Google Pay
Direct Bank Deposit: Banking details will be provided upon request.
PayPal: Secure online payment option.
2.3 Payment Deadlines
Tours
Multi-day Tours
Deposit: A non-refundable deposit of A$500 per person is required at the time of booking to secure your place.
Final Payment: The outstanding balance is due 60 days before the Tour start date.
Workshops
Full payment is required at the time of booking.
3. Cancellation Policy
3.1 Cancellation by Tasmanian Photography Tours
If we cancel or significantly alter a Tour, you are entitled to a full refund of everything you have paid, including your deposit, or the option to transfer your booking to an alternative Tour.
No further liability will be assumed for additional expenses, such as travel arrangements, accommodation or other costs incurred.
3.2 Cancellation by You
Multi-day Tours
60 days or more before the Tour start date: Full refund of payments made, excluding your deposit, which is non-refundable.
30 to 59 days before the Tour start date: If we are able to resell your place, we will refund 50% of the total Tour price. Your deposit is non-refundable and forms part of the amount we retain. If we are not able to resell your place, no refund is due. We will confirm the outcome once your place is filled or the Tour departs, whichever happens first. Where more than one guest has cancelled, places are treated as resold in the order the cancellations were received.
Less than 30 days before the Tour start date: No refund.
Workshops
Where the workshop date is not confirmed at the time of booking, we will notify you in writing once it is confirmed. You may cancel for a full refund within 14 days of that notification.
14 days or more before the workshop start date: Full refund.
Less than 14 days before the workshop start date: No refund.
Transfer to another person
You may request that your booking be transferred to another person. Transfers are at our discretion, must be requested in writing at least 14 days before the Tour start date, and are subject to the replacement guest meeting the same booking conditions.
4. Border closures and illness
Full refunds are provided if cancellations occur due to government-imposed border closures or restrictions.
No refunds are given for cancellations due to personal doubts, hesitations, or change of mind.
If you cancel because of illness, the cancellation terms in clause 3.2 apply. We recommend travel insurance to cover this.
5. Insurance Requirements
We strongly recommend obtaining the following insurance policies:
Travel Insurance: Covers cancellations, interruptions, or unforeseen delays.
Health Insurance: Covers medical emergencies during the Tour.
Equipment Insurance: Protects your photography gear from damage, loss, or theft.
Tasmanian Photography Tours is not responsible for any costs, injuries or losses that insurance could cover.
6. Health, Safety, and Fitness
Our Tours may involve physical activities, including hiking or walking in remote areas. It is your responsibility to ensure you are physically capable of participating.
Notify us in advance of any medical conditions, dietary restrictions, or special requirements.
Participants must wear appropriate clothing and footwear suitable for wilderness environments.
We reserve the right to refuse participation if we deem it unsafe or unsuitable.
7. Liability
Participation is at your own risk.
Tasmanian Photography Tours is not liable for:
Loss, damage, or theft of personal belongings, including photography equipment.
Injuries, illnesses, or accidents during the Tour.
Delays or cancellations caused by weather, natural disasters, or other external factors.
By booking with us, you accept these risks and agree to hold Tasmanian Photography Tours harmless from any liability.
8. Weather and Itinerary Changes
Tours are subject to weather conditions, which can be unpredictable. We reserve the right to alter itineraries for safety reasons.
Substitutions or rescheduling may occur without prior notice.
Refunds will not be issued for itinerary changes caused by weather or other factors beyond our control.
9. Photography Equipment
You are responsible for the safekeeping of your photography equipment.
Tasmanian Photography Tours is not liable for loss, theft, or damage to personal equipment.
Participants should ensure their equipment is adequately insured.
10. Group Sizes and Conduct
Group sizes are limited to maintain the quality of the experience.
Group sizes have a minimum requirement and as such Tasmanian Photography Tours reserves the right to cancel any Tour where the minimum numbers have not been met.
Participants are expected to conduct themselves responsibly. Tasmanian Photography Tours reserves the right to remove anyone whose behaviour is disruptive or unsafe.
11. Minors
Participants must be 18 years of age to participate in any Tour
12. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Tasmania, Australia. Any disputes arising under these terms will be resolved exclusively in Tasmanian courts.
13. Privacy
We collect, use and disclose personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which is published on our website and forms part of these Terms.
