Meet the team behind Tasmanian Photography Tours

Tasmanian Photography Tours was founded by Ben Wilkinson.

Ben’s love of the outdoors began the moment he first crawled onto the grass of his grandfather’s farm on the foothills of kunanyi/Mt Wellington in Fern Tree. Born with a sense of adventure and love of the outdoors, Ben has always enjoyed spending time photographing Tasmania’s wild places.

In 2017, Ben was contracted by Nikon as an instructor to deliver ‘Nikon School’ in Tasmania and also worked for Tourism Tasmania in international marketing.

It was through these experiences he realised that the combination of his experience in tourism and passion for teaching photography provided an opportunity to share more of what Tasmania has to offer.

Tasmanian Photography Tours brings Ben’s vision to life by blending the expertise of local photographers with the island’s world-class tourism experiences. He aims to offer visitors an opportunity to develop a deeper connection with Tasmania, capturing the essence of what makes the island so special. The goal is for guests to return home with not only beautiful photos but also a greater appreciation for Tasmania’s natural wonders.
